About the Author
Maestro budista dedicado a la enseñanza del Dzogchen radical, Keith Dowman (Inglaterra 1945) es uno de los más importantes traductores occidentales de textos tibetanos del corazón-vajra del Dzogchen. Desde 1966 vivió en la India y Nepal. Tras iniciarse en el budismo tibetano, se convirtió en discípulo de maestros como Dudjom Rinpoche y Kanjur Rinpoche, y convivió con ellos en Darjeeling junto a la comunidad tibetana en el exilio. Estudió lengua tibetana en el Queens College y en la Sanskrit University de Benarés. En 1973, sus traducciones vieron la luz bajo el auspicio de Thartang Tulku y el instituto Nyingma de Berkeley. Keith Dowman ha escrito y traducido numerosos libros sobre budismo y cultura tibetana, en particular sobre Dzogchen y budismo tántrico. This kindlebook of The Magic Path of Intuition by Florence Scovel Shinn and Louise Hay caught my attention due to my increased focus on strengthening/increasing my intuition. Additionally, I am fortunate to have purchased the Game of Life kindlebook for just 99 cents yet I wanted to look at intuition kindlebook as a primer before taking in the Game of Life kindlebook. Anyhow, in the Magic Path of Intuition, affirmations are provided for increasing your faith and accessing the power within yourself (I am also understanding as increasing your self-belief). I admit that her take on lining up your dreams in accordance with your divine plan helped remind me/helped me understand even further why sometimes things turning out differently than expected in certain situations can often yield greater blessings/good luck/good fortune. I admit that I respectfully disagree with the author’s take on why a person catches a cold because it could also sometimes be that the person needs to relax andor rest more and the body could just be sending the cold as a way to force the person to allow themselves to rest more guilt-free. However, I did like the author’s example about what one of the women she knew did when she wanted to recoup thirty thousand dollars. This kindlebook was a little different from what I expected in the area of intuition, yet this kindlebook helped lead me to some information that I was looking for on intuition.

I loved this book. Excellent content and still useful for us today, Shinn wrote her books in the 1920's. I always highlighted and underline pertinent words in my non-fiction books, and so much it is highlighted...it is all useful.Here is one quote I love: "With the fixed idea that your supply comes from Infinite Intelligence, you will always be provided for, in both big and little ways. The big things in life will come easily if you have no doubts or fears. So live fully in today , and bring your future into the now."Another important one: "Send goodwill to your seeming enemy, and you surround yourself with a great aura of protection. Your enemies are only those your "own household" (your subconscious beliefs). If you hate and resent a situation, you have fastened it to yourself, for you attract what you fear or dislike........ There is only one way to neutralize it. Be absolutely undisturbed by the injustice, and send goodwill to all concerned."Don't hesitate to buy this book. It will help you. I keep rereading it every so often. It is too easy to lapse into our old beliefs and allow negativity to settle in us.

I feel like even though this book is marketed as "found writings" it's the very same information as in her other books. Also, Hay House does like to make pretty products and while it's very nice to look at, the bright colors though out the book make it very hard to read. I'll stick with the library of Scovel-Shinn books I already have on hand. I can highlight in those for quick reference, this is glossy and the colors are too bright so if you are a highlighter reader, it won't work in this book.

One late night I was feeling burdened, but after working spiritually for a bit I had an all-encompassing realization that anything is possible, nothing is lacking, all is whole and perfect, and loss or lack is never true or real. Right then I checked my email and Louise Hay was announcing that a new Florence Scovel Shinn book had been found. I felt like it was a confirmation of what I had just felt: wonders unimagined are always ready to fall into our lap when we think "fourth dimensionally." I would never have imagined new Shinn material would show up after so many years! But there it was; I bought it on the spot.You will notice some familiar material - even the same paragraphs or sentences a number of times - if you've read Shinn's other books. This seems to be a collection of notes and small pieces, much of which went into her larger books; maybe that's why this was never published separately. However, there is enough new material to make this a great and rare discovery, in 2013 no less! I would buy it if it was only 50 pages. Even one sentence can clear your thoughts and restore you to "the single eye" of seeing spiritually; which, if you've been practicing raising your consciousness for some time, you know is the actual and veritable Holy Grail.

It seems like Louis Hay compiled some of Florence Scovel Shinn's notes and added her "voice" to it. I love both of these teachers, but if you already have Shinn's books, you won't get anything new from this book.

I've been wanting to purchase this book since in was published by Hay House. However it was not available in the book shops in my country. Thanks to Kindle I found the book and it's all that I expected.The book changes your mindset and introduces theories that you may have known but when you read how a person applied the theory, its mind blowing. One needs faith and belief for everything and this book helps you see and understand what is available to you. I don't worry about the future and all it takes is practice and able to receive what is coming. I'm on my spiritual path and synchronism happens. Connecting to the Source... so much more to this book. Highly recommend it. Louise Hay doesn't just introduce any book. It's a genie of revelations worth revisiting again and again.

This book does not only contain great wisdom that everyone can use in their life, but it is also in a beautiful and easy to read format. I have read this book through twice already and keep it by my bed for a quick burst of inspiration first thing in the morning or right before bed at night. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is into metaphysics, new age thought, or spirituality. It should be required reading for everyone though.
