This was a required textbook for an MBA class. It wasn't a bad read, but had a lot of relatively basically concepts explained in easy to understand pieces.The book is overly expensive to buy for its size and utility but that is typical of the industry as a whole.I would recommend renting the book (electronically is what I did) but you can also buy on kindle or used if the class isn't using the latest version

This book is poorly written. Although it does provide many examples, that's about all the author provides. Bolded "keywords" are throughout the text with little to no explanation. There also isn't a glossary of terms to refer to either. For studying purposes, this is far more annoying that necessary.

In the realm of conflict management and books this book outlines Interpersonal conflict and the management of them very well. It offers several facets of information that I did not expect. First I have noticed most textbooks do not account for the inevitable non agreement or approach did not work. This book made it clear that many attempts could be required or a conflict could not be resolved. Second, the book offered information to the reader who may be looking at becoming a professional mediator, offering some of advice on planning and strategy.

I gave this book the highest stars available. I enjoyed how the book broke down what conflict was really about and the various stages in conflict. We seldom look at conflict the way it was presented in the book and my initial thoughts were had I known about this book before now I would of handel things differently. It also opened up a new window on how my actions may be perceived by another person and also how I may have contrubited to the continued conflict. I was able at the endof the book to reevaluate my self and other in conflict. I try practicing one aspect of getting to the what actually happened by closely looking at my story and their story to find common agreement so as to work from that point towards resolution of the conflict.

Good book, not the easiest to follow but good for anything over a 100 or 101 communications course.

I found this book a great source of knowledge. It is terribly expensive even used. However it is choked full of great learning material about relationships, communicating.good.

The grammar! I mean several times I find myself reading the same paragraph again to try to comprehend it. The chapters are entirely too long for constant long opinions without actual facts...Total waste of my money!

There are a host of books that cover this sort of subject. This one is a text book and is required for a course I am taking in Conflict Management and Resolution for my Master's Degree.Our professor has done me proud with choosing a book which is not sandpaper across my eyeballs. The book is very well written, easy to grasp and easy to work with - a blessing!If you find that this book is required for your class, fear not, make sure you have the correct edition, and enjoy!

About the Author

Robert Beverly Hale was Curator Emeritus of the American Painting and Sculpture Department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. For forty years, he was instructor of artistic anatomy at the Art Students League. He also served as Adjunct Professor of Drawing at Columbia University and Professor of Art at Cooper Union. Hale was the author of Drawing Lessons from the Great Masters and co-author of Anatomy Lessons from the Great Masters. Terence Coyle teaches figure painting and drawing at the Art Students League of New York and is the lecturer in Artistic Anatomy at the National Academy of Design School of Fine Arts in New York City. Coyle's paintings have been highly acclaimed and are in important collections throughout the country including the Museum of the City of New York; the New York State Museum in Albany; the Museum of Performing Arts, Billy Rose Theatre Collection; Fordham University; and, among other notables, in the collection of Ms. Helen Hayes. This is the best book on the subject matter I've ever encountered. I attend a live model drawing every Monday, and every other Thursday for years now, have copied many Master drawings and Bargue plates, I have drawn from George Bridgman, Andrew Loomis, and Charles Bargue.While those sources are excellent and not to be discounted, this is by far the most comprehensive, logical approach to a complex but rewarding activity like figure drawing.I recommend this to anyone, even before you delve into Hale's other books- "Drawing Lessons from the Great Masters" and especially before "Anatomy Lessons from the Great Masters." I got this one last and it immediately made things "snap" mentally, in a way that things had not from the afformentioned titles. I understood everything he was trying to say a lot more.For me this is mainly because of the helpful shapes he deliberately and simply draws on top of the master drawings. While this is found in the other titles, it's not to the extent as with this title.As a final parting advice, stray away from Betty Edwards and her dubiously scientific "right side of the brain." It is extremely detrimental compared to Bob Hale's sagely advice:"if you draw what you see, what til you see what you draw."Or as I like to say "if you draw what you see, you will not draw what you see"One *must* study form, draw what they know.Copying a photograph upside down is ok for a total beginner, and in my opinion Edwards shines in getting people who are afraid to draw and have never done so, generating acceptable drawings. That's about as helpful as it can be though.This takes drawing to a wonderful and challenging new plane.

I purchased the companion tape series from Jo-An Pictures Ltd in NYC (212-532-5003) several years ago. The book and tapes record the lectures given by Robert Beverly Hale at the Art Student's League in NYC. You may never find better instruction on artistic anatomy and drawing the human form! He was without doubt the greatest instructor of this subject! The tapes are almost like attending his classes! You must draw from life as well as study this material to master the subject. If you cannot afford the tapes, at least get this book! You will not find a better investment but you must also make the effort! A valid observation from his lectures: 'You can not draw a form, if you don't know it exists.' If you want to draw figures that will impress other artists, clients with medical training or other sophisticated viewers, then master the lessons in this book!I believe Tony Ryder may have attended Robert Hale's lectures at the Art Student's League. Also get Tony Ryder's book entitled "The Artist's Complete Guide to Figure Drawing". It represents the other traditional approach to figure drawing. His explanation of light and shadow on the human form is the best I have ever seen. He emphasizes that it takes many hours to complete a finished drawing. Quick sketches are good for warming up but it's only one aspect of practice. Both books are well worth the investment!

My grandsons art teacher recommended this book. Its an excellent guide book for art students.

Has some usefullness but not a practical text. You will have to scratch and dig to catch up in it.

One of the best books on figure drawing and anatomy of the figure. Filled with extensive examples from the old masters.

I couldn't agree more with the wonderful endorsements of Robert Beverly Hale's teaching materials. It been said that Rodin had one book that never left his night table. it was Richer's "Artistic Anatomy". Like Richer, Mr. Hale has left us with incredibly rich resources of his great knowledge on illusionary drawing and anatomy. As Rodin constantly referred to Richer's book, so will you with Mr. Hale's books once you start reading them. I studied with the great draftsman Michael Burban who was a student of Hale's and carried on his classes on Artistic Anatomy at the Art Student's League. Mr.. Burban wrote a book titled "Lessons From Michelangelo". This is a wonderful book which serious students of Artistic Anatomy and Figure Drawing will find to be a great addition to their libraries. Hale and Burban, two great teachers who are beyond compare!!

Hale was and still is (at least in this book) a master of the subject. He is one of the very few artists I know who can marry the intellectual with the creative. His physical presence is missed by all that knew him.

No words can describe how much I love this book....it was the best recommendation ever to me....now I recommend it to you.

Wealth Can't Wait is packed with value and written by two self-made guys who've actually built businesses, wealth and incredible lives. I've spent the last 15 years reading as much as possible in the self-help/wealth genre and this book is hands down the best. I've highlighted more in this book than any other. This book is packed with clear actionable steps and almost every chapter has a link to the WCW website where the reader can access worksheets and additional bonus material. Both David and Paul went all out and delivered big time. In fact, I even prefer this to the classics, Think and Grow Rich and The Magic of Thinking Big because the authors share their mistakes as well as successes and their intention to help others really comes across. WCW is the real deal and won't be leaving my side for the next year because no book as inspired me to act like this one.

What's unique about this book is the fact that it was co-authored by David Osborn and Paul Morris, both of whom have been successful in business and life. Throughout they share their wisdom on what is wealth and how to achieve it and it is almost as if they took turns writing it. Many times they will use themselves as examples (in third person) as it pertains to certain topics and discussions. Not a bad book, though some advice is basic and reading it can be mundane (especially to those who read many books about success) but nevertheless you do get a perspective. To expand on that, both authors made it big through real estate and this is a book of opinion, not of scholarly research, so that has to be taken into perspective. It is no surprise then, when they suggest that the most fruitful path to wealth is real estate. I highly suggest this book to those who are in real estate and want to be successful in life. Otherwise, unless you have a penchant for their prose or the structure of the text, you wouldn't necessarily find the text enlightening as compared to other texts in the same area.

Wealth Can't Wait, takes so much from Tony Robbins that it is truly amazing if they don't pay him royalties. This book is about REAL ESTATE, only in the Wealth can't wait world, real estate values only goes up. You can easily find renters who cover the mortgage, with money left over for repairs. (To make these two assumptions is not a good idea for a new investor) What the book lacks: here's no step by step in how to evaluate property. What the book has: a lot of good quotes (and it is full of good quotes) and no substance. Everything is attitude to the authors, and while I believe in all the positive thinking, there is still risk when it comes to real estate. My biggest complaint is that there is no specifics in any of it. I did get this book for .99 cents, so it was entertaining at that price, but I cannot recommend this book as a serious investment book.

Finally a book that really tells the true journey of wealth building! I couldn't put this one down! As an avid reader and student of wealth building for many years, I used to be upset with books that went into the mindset and habits of the wealthy because I wanted just the tactics. And that didn't work. As someone at an earlier stage of wealth building success, I've come to truly learn that it is mindset, then habits, then tactics. Most books I read cover only one of those. This book is incredible as it covers them all and connects the dots between each with real world examples in these two gentlemen's lives. Even back to fitness and family. This is one of those foundational books everyone should read and one I'm giving to everyone in my family, especially the kids. We should all have the opportunity to start with this wisdom early. Without a doubt, they nailed the true whole path to wealth building in this one.

Would definitely put this book in the "Best Books Ever" category. (At least for my life trajectory) Reading through it a second time currently. David is a true model for life-success and takes the idea of "Wealth" well beyond society's typical monetary value. To the point, fun and mind-expanding. See you at the top!

There's so much useful information in this book. I went through the whole book so fast. Definitely something to read and re-read. I can't wait to start building my own team of talented people. This is the kind of book you want to tell your friends about.

I've listened this book on Audible - great fundamentals for mindset of success. It covers building your habits and mindset, creating supporting environment, importance of your circle of influence and practical tips on investment into Real estate and even hiring / building the team.Very practical and I think I will use it later as well and buy paper/kindle copy.

I first listened to David Osborn on a Bigger Pockets podcast. His energy and enthusiasm captivated me. His encouragement to take action gave me courage to purchase a fantastic off-market 6-plex in a hot Florida market. I like how well written this book is. I have read some really rough real estate ones. I have already purchased another copy for my niece who wants to start investing in real estate.
